We Don’t Want To Enroll These Types Of Parents At Metro Jiu-Jitsu

Sensitive/Insecure parents……should keep on scrolling for this one. 📱

When we set appointments for parents to bring their child into Metro Jiu-Jitsu….

We have them complete an application. 🖊️

Just to gather some background info to know how to better coach their child. 👊

Any sports background? 🏀 ⚽️

What are we looking to get out of a program? etc

Pretty standard stuff……

But we also like to gauge the parent’s commitment level to Jiu-Jitsu as well.

And I’ll be honest.

Parents lie on this form ALL THE TIME. 😆

They claim they’re the decision makers when they aren’t. 🤦🏻‍♂️

They claim they’re able to make it 2 days/week when they can’t. 📅

They claim they are on board for a 12 month commitment but really they’re just looking for for an 8 week day care during the Summer months. 🙄

This one shook me. 👇 🤯

Imagine taking the time and energy to create a living human being, while knowing you DGAF about their development, and by you’re own confession are too busy to give a damn. 😠

On some level, I respect the honesty. ✊

But on the other note….I seriously wonder why you would have children in the first place. 🤔

And to follow up….what do you expect a Jiu-Jitsu gym like Metro to produce in your child, with that level of commitment on the parents part. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Metro Jiu-Jitsu is a supplementary personal development tool to bolt onto your parenting system. 👏

We are not a way to “outsource” your parenting.

Please remember that before reaching out to sign your kid up for martial arts. 🥋

See you on the mats,
