Is One Day/Week Enough To Train Jiu-Jitsu?
Let me ask you a question.
If you told me that you want to get your masters degree but you were only going to work at it one hour a week how long would that take you?
If you said you wanna lose 60 pounds this year but only wanna work out one hour per week is there a good chance you will hit that goal?
Of course not.
For similar reasons we recommend at least two days a week of training Jiu-Jitsu, preferably three.
Jiu-Jitsu is not like axe throwing where you can go a couple times a year just to have some fun and call it a day. π
Jiu-Jitsu is difficult. (Not to say ask throwing isn't). But people who are actively looking for Jiu-Jitsu usually have very serious needs that they need met.
Heart issues. β€οΈ
ADD in their child.
Anger management. π‘
Deteriorating mental health. π§
Rape victims (and in turn PTSD).
Bully victims. π
The list goes onβ¦
To help these people, you NEED to train at least 2 days/week to see results.
A lot of members end up training more like three or four days per week! π
If you just have a free night and you wanted to do something outside of the house.
Jiu-Jitsu is not for you. You won't progress much and you'll leave feeling defeated.
But if you can squeeze a second class into your schedule every week you will see exponential growth and benefits.
See You On The Mats!
